Well my youngest and I had the great pleasure of fishing with Leo today. We put in at daybreak up the Roanoke and ended up catching 3 stripers (1 each), 2 crappie, 3 bream and something Leo wouldn't let me or my camera see. It was my son's first SML striper on artificial, he is still trippin! He also caught the largest for the day, about 8lb unless Leo says it was 30 then I agree with him. Great to see a couple friendly faces out there and great that the cool damp morning kept the "moon" hid. Thanks Leo for a long overdue day on the water! ;D

So by having "artificial" in the title - does that mean the report has been falsified? Glad you got out with your son and brother - family bonding time - seems you must have been behaved since Leo let you come back.....

Today, the pleasure was all mine. The three of us had a very enjoyable day on the water and as you can tell by Bigjon's post, he was well behaved (he can behave when in the company of a GOOD influence, not Gordon). This day was actually supposed to be just John and Cody but they let me tag along and I really enjoyed it, thanks guys.

Enjoyed it Leo. The only changes we made with you going was Bigun didn't get to go and we took a left out of Hardy rather than a right! ;D Bigun, we will have to wait to see just how far up the Roanoke Leo's boat will go!

Bigjon, just ask JD how far up the creek my boat will go. A few years back JD called and said that the walleyes were spawning on the upper end of Philpott. JD suggested that if we took my boat we could get way up the lake and get on them. We met, launched the boat and I ask how far up he wanted to go, his words were, "as far as you can". When I finally stopped the boat you could spit to either band and the water was about a foot and a half deep. JD had turned red as a beet, three days later he called me and told me that since we made that trip he hadn't been able to produce anything larger than a Cheeto (pucker factor of 10).
