Figured I switch it up a bit so I hit the water around 10am and started at the mouth of Bull Run(normally only fish BW), caught bait at my dock friday night- mix of decent size ales and gizzards and pulled freeline boards, a float or two, and a few down lines at various depths for a bit, had a 2 boards go off but missed them both, nothing on downlines. Headed up toward the back of BW and started pulling a few boards and downlines. First fish came a few hours later, 26" on a 15ft downline. Picked up a 30" right before dusk on far channel side board. Didn't mark many fish the whole day but plenty of bait. BR was clear but BW was very stained. Slow day, but was nice to be out and kept the skunk off!
