Air Temp: 42 when I hit the lake rising to 54. Water Temp: 44, with 47 in a couple of the creeks Hit the water about 8:30, and bait was a ton easier this morning. It's amazing what a difference a day makes! Went to where I had picked up a couple fish yesterday, and nada. Didn't even mark a fish. Bounced back down the lake, and proceeded to have a little action...although not really what I was looking for. Hooked and lost one striper, and had a couple other nice knockdowns, but couldn't seem to connect. Finally connected with a 29" fish that I actually got to the boat. Had been pulling a bank, and swung wide. Board was in 65 feet of water, with standing timber about 25 feet down. Overall it was a good weekend on the water. It was the first trip of the year, and nothing broke, and I stayed dry. Even stumbled on a few fish. Seems like an overall win to me.

Nice report. Don't worry - those fish were not there in the afternoon today either
