As I approach my twilight years, I am struck by the inevitability that the party must end. And one clear, cold morning after I'm gone, my spouse will awaken in the warmth of our bedroom and be struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't "anymore."
No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more "just one minute."
Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and goes away, never to return before we can say good-bye.
So while we have it, it's best we love it, care for it, fix it when it's broken and heal it when it's sick.
This is true for marriage.....And old cars. And children with bad report cards, And dogs with bad hips. And aging parents and grandparents. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it.
Some things we keep -- like a best friend who moved away or a sister-in-law after divorce. There are just some things that make us happy, no matter what.
Life is important, like people we know who are special. And so, we keep them close!
Suppose one morning you never wake up, do all your friends know how you really feel? The important thing is to let every one of your friends know your true feelings, even if you think they don't love you back. So, just in case I'm gone tomorrow, please make sure you vote against that butthole, Obama

The character of any man is defined by how he treats his mother as the years pass .... need I say more about this person below other than there is no character, no integrity but there is a ton of attitude and arrogance that defines his shallow past and hollow future..... I rest my case..
I bought and read Obama's book, Audacity of Hope. It was difficult to read considering his attitude toward us and everything American. Let me add a phrase he used to describe his attitude toward whites. He harbors a "COIL OF RAGE". His words, not mine.
THIS IS OUR PRESIDENT -- HE'S RUNNING AGAIN, YOU KNOW! Is anyone out there awake? Everyone of voting age should read these two books by him: Don't buy them, just get them from the library.
From Dreams From My Father: "I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites."
From Dreams From My Father : "I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race."
From Dreams From My Father: "There was something about her that made me wary, a little too sure of herself, maybe and white."
From Dreams From My Father: "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."
From Dreams From My Father: "I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father's image, the blackman, son of Africa , that I'd packed all the attributes I sought in myself: the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela."
And FINALLY .............. and most scary:
From Audacity of Hope: "I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."
I don't care if you are a democrat, a republican, a liberal, a conservative, or whatever, just be aware of the attitude and character of this sitting president.

I may be the most liberal person on the planet. I wouldn't be ashamed if that is what I felt, no matter what you thought of it. The site at that link proclaims that the people who started Snopes are Jewish and liberal. Why does the site feel the need to announce their religion? Neither their religion nor political affiliation hampers their ability to investigate. If you looked at the link I posted, they state that some of the quotes in your original post are not in any of Barack's books. This is simple verifiable fact. The email claims to quote from the book. Snopes says the quote is not in the book. Black and White. (no pun intended) I bear you no disrespect, Bigun. I do think that if a quote claims to be from a certain author it ought to actually be from that author.

asleepafloat, every link you post, I can post one to counter. Every link I post you can counter it with one.
When I say I said my piece, I meant my opinion about the man in general, not the email.
You say you may the most liberal person on the planet, and you say you bear me no disrespect, so I'll ask the $100 question again. Can you respect my opinion? Try not to answer my question with a question like most liberals do. and I mean no disrespect, you have a right to chose your how ever you feel.

Without taking into account what anyone says; I as a small business owner can't take another 4 years like the last 4. At 4:15 this morning (while at work) I was looking at my gross sales for the past 13 years. Shortly after I opened my business, 9/11 took place, then there was the anthrax scare, picture what that did to the direct mail business. Through the past 13 years, I've managed to survive, however the last 3.5 years have been at 50% of what my business was prior to 2008. So, I for one and going to vote for "hope and change", I "hope" a "change" will return us to a prosperous America. If I had my choice, I'd fire everyone in DC and start all over, I'm tired of seeing a bunch of self serving crooks run around spending using my credit card. My name is Leonard Keys and I approved this message.

I'm trying to answer as honestly as I can. I absolutely 10000% respect your right to have and share your opinion. I do not respect the email that was posted. I believe it is created out of deception not out of straightforwardness. One might say that if the email is your opinion, then I don't respect it, but I think that is going too far.
In my opinion, the best thing that can happen is for reasonable people of different opinions to hear one another though they may never agree. I think some people, often friends, of wildly varying opinions can best agree to not discuss politics at all. I believe that being liberal, even extremely liberal, does not mean a person can't be reasonable and respect everyone else's right to have and share their opinion, no matter how much it differs from their own. I do not think that liberal equals rude, though some of them may give that impression. I think there are rude conservatives also. And level headed people of all believes.

quote: I'm trying to answer as honestly as I can......What exactly does that mean? ;D How hard do you have to try to answer honestly? ;D Spoken like a true liberal. Over analyzed jiberish. A simple yes or no would have sufficed. Didn't know there were different degrees of liberalisim ( liberal, extreme liberal ). Every one I have meet are the same, very pushy and very, very, very condescending. Not saying you're like that because I didn't know there were different types. I stated above it was not the email, but my opinion of the man.

My name is Leonard Keys and I approved this message. Think of owning a business as a Muslim or Indian, Mexican. Not having to pay the taxes the free American has to pay! (point here is look at how many Indians run gas stations) them guys look like they not struggling one bit! Have one right down the road from me that has competition, and has been able to keep the doors open now for two years, selling blunt wraps and gas. This store has no stock what so ever! How in the world can he keep the doors open! Only thing I can think of is hand outs that the average American can never get, and no taxes ! Vote this back in and no American will become business owners! I would one day like to own a business! This is why my vote is for Leonard Keys! Work for what ya got, and work to have something! Not to have everything handed to ya! (this is not to harm Leo's business in any way!) Fire all them bastards when you make it in office Leo!!

Gotcha, I have been in business for myself since 1980. Own 2 businesses ( machine shop @ a supply business). Every day I wake up and think, man, it's just not worth it anymore. If it wasn't for the people that work for me and the fact that I'm to old (be 57 in week) and wore out, and nobody will hire an old wore out dude, I would have already quit, even though I can't afford to.
Hurry up and start your business, don't care what it is....I'll go to work for ya, and guarantee an honest days work. Heck, I would love to be able to get off at quit time, go fishing and let some one else worry about all the crap after the work day is done. Just a word of caution, what some folks don't seem to understand is the biggest injustice a company can do to it's employees is fail to make money, which is almost impossible these days.
