I'm not a big cabelas fan but I had a gift card so I bought the alumiglo Superbrite fish light in the 24" size. This is supposedly a 2400 lumen light. We had previously been using a construction type light pointed down at the water. That had not been working well the last few months although it did seem to work ok in the spring.
We already had caught bait last time we were up so I just plugged it up to see how it looked in the water - not really expecting much from it at the time. When I woke up I could see a large amount of bait in the light from the house. This light works really well and would recommend it to anyone. The construction is super solid. The only downfall is that you are not supposed to leave in the water indefinitely. If it wasn't so expensive I would test that out and leave it in the water.

I have the 24 and 48 and they work great hanging off side of boat. I too have not left mine in water for more than an hour or two.

Looking for an update on this product please. I have used lights hung off of our dock for several years which have worked well. Our neighbor says that the lights blind them when coming in after dark so looking for an alternative. I have tried the smaller submersible lights that you can buy at Walmart without much success so any feedback would be most appreciated.

The one I have says you can't leave it under water for extended periods of time. It works well though. Very bright.
