First some background, I am from Vermont and Maine so big snow is something I am very used to and comfortable with. However as a recent transplant to SML a year ago I have seen how unprepared this area is for even small amounts of snow. If we do in fact get 16 to 24 inches this place will be paralyzed. Prepare, plan, be safe and enjoy.

I just hope they have the boat ramps cleared by Saturday morning!!

I just hope they have the boat ramps cleared by Saturday morning!! Bet that!! The boat is hooked to the tractor, and I've got 24 gallons of extra diesel in the bucket ready to roll. Since 2009, we've had a bunch of snows that were over 14" at my house in Rocky Mount. The biggest was about 24" at once. We live on a back-back-back road and can usually get out 2 days after the snow quits. It'll melt in a couple days anyhow. |

Junkee will be down on Monday morning -- Axel has not arrived, trailer sitting at New london and boat is in the air with a covered slip at Websters Marine for a nice litte fee $$$$ -- had to do it for piece of mind with the big storm -- was put up yesterday -- Hope to be on the water by 9am Monday and I too believe the fishing will be awesome!! It will be fun just to be on the Lake with all the snowy views -- cant wait ---
