Came up Friday midday to install a new I-pilot trolling motor. Used to have hand steer. Got new motor on and went out to play with it and try to catch bait. Had a feeling that we should have fished Friday morning. The conditions looked perfect. Got the motor on about about the time the rain really started so we put the Bimini on and rolled out.
New I-pilot is AWESOME. I would highly recommend it to anyone upgrading.
We marked a ton of bait deep right off the dock so headed to look for other bigger bait hoping that those would be up top after dark if we needed them. We caught about 10 baits while out on the hunt - nothing special. The million baits we marked earlier had vanished when we got back. We went out throwing flukes and caught a few fish before calling it quits about 11.
Pulled bait Saturday morning. One bite very quick but he got the bait and then not a sniff the rest of the mornin.
From my last few trips I am quickly coming to believe that sunny and blue skies are less than ideal fishing conditions.

Hey you gave it a shot. Thanks for the report. Bluebird skies are awful and if the wind is blowing go home.
