Little late on posting this but I hate computers and trying to upload these videos. This video is from Dec 16. I was pulling RediRig planer floats with 2/0 circle hooks, one line with no weight and one with 1/8 oz weight. Ended up catching 2 this day in about 3 hours of fishing. It was also the first day out on my new 2015 Hobie Outback, hands free kayak fishing is so nice. Anyway the water temps were around 55 deg and air temps were around 60 deg. Both fish caught were within 20ft from the bank.

Nice. The only downside is you don't get to see the rolls and blow-ups when they happen. Are you using circle hooks?

Worth the wait in my opinion. Nice yak and fish.

Mward, yeah I'm using gamakatsu 2/0 octopus circle hooks. To be honest I got the GoPro just to get pics of fish I caught but every now and then I will do some videos. I really need more than one GoPro to make some good videos.

Bigun2... In the kayak world being pulled around by a fish is called a "sleigh ride "

Nice video, looks like a blast on a yak. I would imagine that you are liking hands free ten times better. Great report

Great stuff! My heart is still pounding! Suddenly fishing from my boat doesn't seem like a sport anymore.

KB, Hands free is awesome, I had been wanting a peddle kayak for years but just didn't like the layout of any till this new hobie came out.
Stripedyam, I had a CC boat before I started kayak fishing, there are a lot of trade offs but I really enjoy it more, but yeah being pulled around by the fish is awesome.

Very cool video. Thanks for sharing. Those TOS planer floats seem to never pop off right when a fish hits.

Very cool video. Thanks for sharing. Those TOS planer floats seem to never pop off right when a fish hits. I've caught probably 20+ fish on them and that's only happened twice now. The one in the video my my error cause I didn't loop the line correctly

The one in the video my my error cause I didn't loop the line correctly The difference is probably the fish I catch are to small to pull it off. I fish Buggs more than sml.
