1.8.16 report

After the club meeting Jason and I went to catch bait, to fish for muskys on Sunday. Within a half hour we had a couple dozen 6"-12" gizzards. It is exciting to see the net come up with bait.
Afterwards Jason threw a lure and caught one. Not sure the size.
We pulled 2 planers and redi rig. Didn't catch anything and don't think we had any hits.
We finished about 130 am

WT 48-49
No wind, very calm
Bait was caught in 20' of water with 10' 3/4" 15 lbs Tim wade net in a creek.
Misting rain.

Good to meet r22, and see Midas boards and KB at the meeting.

How'd the Musky trip go?

We thought we were back at the bay with gale winds and high waves in the river. Haha.
Jason's son had a hit and that was it. We probably would have put one in the boat if I had chummed the water like I did at the bay. Left the big net at the house. I forgot it.
They say it takes 10,000 cast to catch one, so we are getting close!!

Why would anybody bait fish musky ?
