Went by the state ramp up next to Hales Ford bridge, in behind the old Waterwheel, looks like they have added some parking space and the old ramp was gone and a new one waiting to be put in and seems like they sloped the bottom so the sand bar is gone, had good water depth going straight out, rocks are still there but now at least you can see them. Looks like they will be pushing the new ramp out when it get set. should be a good ramp when they finish. Just hope they mark off the bottom so you have a place to turn abound with a long boat and trailer

Thanks for the update. Can someone be sure to post when they notice that the ramp is open?

Thanks. I hate launching at the state park.

Has anyone tried the public ramp at the bridge since the improvements? Thinking about coming up Friday. Thanks.

Yes the ramp is open. But because the water is down be careful. I hear you can launch but there is not much water. They did not remove the rocks behind the ramp.

Thanks for the update. Maybe we'll get some much-needed rain from the "frankenstorm."

Has anyone used this ramp lately? I talked with the lady at the 'Boats for sale by owner' and she said her ramp is closed due to water levels. I need a pretty gentle slope to take out, and was wondering if the state ramp is open, and how steep it is? Any other thoughts on open boat ramps near the bridge?

I used the ramp yesterday and had no problem getting the boat in or out. If you need a gentle slope then this ramp is not for you. Rocks still at end of ramp.
