Put in up by Hales Ford Bride around 9::30. Fished until about 3:00. Water temps 54 to 56. Caught 2 bank runners up the Roanoke side. Fished crankbaits, jig, fluke, and spinnerbait. Docks, laydowns, rip rap. Backs of creeks, cuts, and main lake points. Couldn't find any active fish. Talk to a guy who had fished a tourney; said he had luck on some docks and laydowns with jig and Senko. Never really found any bait. Have grown weary fishing Roanoke side without getting bit. Does anyone know of public ramp up the Blackwater side, I can't make long runs in by BassTracker and like to put in close to where I will be fishing. Also, is Blackwater side just naturally more productive than Roanoke side. I never really hear or read about anyone catching 'em good on the Roanoke side? Couple more trips and that may be it until 2016.
Good luck and be safe!

Scruggs Ramp is right there at the mouth of Gills Creek, nice ramp and dock....I think the Roanoke side is more productive, but that is because I fish that side more than Blackwater.
