Today was a total contrast to the November tournament - today was cold, sunny, little to no wind and in general leaf free (though still a lot of debris up-lake). We had 24 teams that took on the challenge, with 23 of them chasing the Big Fish pot. The bite proved difficult for a number of the teams with only 15 of the 23 teams checking in fish (think a few others had one but determined it was not worth coming to the check-in before the deadline). But - we also had few very nice fish that had they mug-shots checked in..... 1st place was cinched by Team Sons of the Mafia with a 37" and 35.75" double that came around 2:30pm. Talk about cutting it a bit close..... And if I understand the story, the 35.75" managed to get itself into a submerged tree while they fought the 37" to the boat and then get its picture and out and then got the 35.75" to the boat as well - heck of a way to wrap up the day. Both the Youth division & Big Fish was won with an awesome 38" striper caught by Matthew Lawrence - way to go Matt! Pics to follow sometime later.... will give others a chance to recover and write-up their own reports, post there own pics, etc..... Thanks for all that fished with us in this event and thanks to all our great sponsors that enable the events to be as great as they are - looking forward to the Spring events in March & April.....
