Started out by getting to boat around 5:30 this a.m. put rods on boat ,bags,graphs,etc... went to fill bait tank up and burned me pump up that i use to fill and empty tank with. So i went to the ol school way and had to bucket water in tank. Haha still works right!!!. Then went to turn bait tank on to find that my on and off switch was broke for the tank. Stripped ends off and redone them for a temporary fix for the day. Now it was time to fish. With only 12 mongos from the week before left over in cage i decided to try for some fresh bait. Threw untill about 8:30 with only luck on 4-5 inchers being the largest. Went ahead and put boards out anyways and 2 planner floats out rear. Had some action but no takers. Went and grabbed lunch around 11:30. Lucked out by being in the right place at the right time and was able to score some nice fresh bigger bait from a guy that was ending his trip. Ran to a spot that i have liked to fish and ran 4 boards and 2 floats with money makers to mongos free lines. Ended up catching a nice 13 pounder 32 inches. Then as we were watching 2 stripers chase another bait and trying to get pics of this as they were on top of water following bait on the bank side a board went under on channel side , fish on landed my personal best on the pontoon of 33 inches and 14 pounds. Both fish realeased. What a great day of fishing.

That's a good day regardless of the starting troubles. It's always something StriperJohn - while you're up there casting - don't fall in, errrr I mean out of that stand

In my mind a good fisherman is measured on how he overcomes problems. I probably feel this way because I am a walking catastrophe. Way to overcome your problems!
