Well to start off the tournament weekend we went out friday mid day to catch bait that we had already had the weekend before but bad luck having it somthing busted in my bait cage on Tuesday night . So we set after some baits and had really good luck at located nice mongos pretty quick and was able to put aroumd 40 nice 8 inch plus baits in sbt ll. As this was my first tournament ever and fishing from a pontoon we set out Saturday morning around 530 am and picked out a spot that we would fish from all day. Set ancor and waited for daylight and the token number. Around 620 am we started to set boards out on both creek side and bank . With in 30 mins we had out first decent strper at 29 inches. The a second at 30 3/4 about 20 mins later. Both were realeased. Ran a few more passes and one of the guys fishing with me caught his very first striper at 27 inches. Also realeased. After about 830 am the bite died off for us and as we watched other boats leave the area we had creek all to ourselves. Thinking about leaving as well but not battling leaves like others i heard about we decided to stay.Called it a day around 230 pm and cleaned boat up and headed to check in were we met alot of great people and got to put faces to some of the names on here. A group of great people and a big thanks for allowing us to join a great day of fishing. Hats off to striper mafia for putting on a great event.( not gators hat) haha. Cant wait till December.

Sounds like a great time, thanks for the report. I wonder why we don't hear from the folks that caught more in the tournament? ;D
