Hit the water around 9, set out from Hardy, thought it would be muddy but the water was actually pretty clear. A lot of leaves but that was about it. Got some peanuts to fish with, from a kayak its hard to keep larger shad. Got around 15 in the livewell and set out. Started at the R85 marker. I was using 2 red rig planer floats with 2/0 octopus circle hooks, with no weight and the line about 10 ft behind the floats. I had gotten 2 new ugly stick striper rods ( let me tell you these rods are much lighter in hand and have a better feel, very sensitive with plenty of backbone) really like these new rods. Fished from 930 till 1:00. Ended up catching 4 and lost 2. Pretty good day, all the fish were 27-29 inches.
