I had written this weekend off for fishing due to picking my daughter up near Richmond from Cheerleading competition "GO FCHS" then rush back for some late night Trick or Treating in Salem at my in-laws. What a surprise after getting some things done around the house on Sunday my daughters says lets go fishing. Being late in the day we rushed up our creek no time to be picky and just took what was in the net, then off to another creek to fish. We ran 6 boards with 1/4 ounce weight and this time I added more line behind them trying to get @ 25' and 2 free lines out the back. Before we even got far from the back of the creek 2 boards got pulled then we got hooked up....Catfish so after catching 3 we just hit the rabbit button and move on up the creek. Once repositioned I started changing out all baits and we were fishing again. We had some boards pulled under but I leave the drag on the loose side when fishing with her but I quickly learned not a good combination with circle hooks so we tightened the drags down some and hooked up with 4 stripers. the largest @ 10lbs from the deep sides and oddly enough as she was bringing it in the planer board floated up I assume I did not have it in the pig tail very good. No free lines were touched.

I am glad you got to get out and enjoy some time with your daughter. The stripers are just the icing on the cake.
