The Roanoke continued to be a mess this morning. There was a significant mud line just above Moormans so turned around and joined several other boats and set out six planers. During my first hour or so I had 4-5 boils but no hookups. I spent the next several hours dodging logs and clearing leaves. I did have some pull downs and some baits that were skinned. I fished until 5 pm and never had a hookup until the late afternoon. I had retied everything on Monday and Tuesday but lost two decent fish, both after the fish made a few runs when my line broke above the swivel on both.
I was expecting great things this week but it was not to be. I fished 23 hours during the past three days and only managed two fish to the boat.
