Fished with capt. Todd on Wednesday (awesome trip as always). Decided I wasn't coming over for the weekend because my son had a soccer game Saturday afternoon. Saturday night I was going crazy bored and told my wife I needed to go fishing. Got over to the lake Sunday afternoon

And tried to catch some shad. Went to the back of one creek having no idea what I was looking for. Didn't see anything. Ran a pretty long way to another creek. Saw fish flipping everywhere. Threw and got net fulls of bait. They were peanuts. Threw and threw but that's all I could get. Decided to put some lines out. Skunk.

Woke up the next morning to catch some Ales. It was tough. Almost didn't fish because all bait was small. Did manage to get a few big ales and some blue backs about 10. Got a dink on a down line as another was getting hung in a tree. Then all the sudden a blue back on the lake side got nailed. Grabbed the rod and set the hook. 35" 15lb.

By that time I was out of bait from a few hits and trees on downs. Had one big bait out and decided I'd fish it until it was gone. Saw my short planer bait had a leaf on it and tried to clear about that time, boom big swirl pb skiing back picked up the rod gone. Out of bait, back to the house and back to work too early.
