The fall colors and smell of wood smoke in the air was enjoyable. Caught some small gizzards for the three hours we had to fish. Just saw a few scattered fish on the sonar. So with not much time we put out two planers, two light redi-rigs and two down lines. We had several baits get skinned and managed one striper and one large mouth. My girlfriend caught both fish. I really do like to see that smile as she plays a fish..... Believe it or not I get as much joy from that as I do when I catch one. Came home and fixed corn bread, kraut and wieners and a beer. Nice evening !

I'm with you! Actually when I have the pleasure of company, I consider bringing in the fish a pain. I get a rush from the drag screaming and would rather just enjoy that feeling rather than pursuing a fight. Watching others fight is more fun! Colors and smells and the sounds (deer rustling, turkeys calling, NO JET SKIS) of nature.

I agree with everything both of you said besides the last part of yams, reason being is bc i had to battle 2 jet skis this past sunday haha. But watching my daughter or anyone else on the boat i get just as excited for them.
