What a beautiful day to fish A/T 45 - 78 W/T 63 -65. Glad I brought some shorts and flip flops. It took me two hours to catch bait. I couldn't find bait larger than 5 inches, ales and gizzards. I need to work on finding larger bait. Ran 4 down lines and 2 light float lines 25 and 50 ft. behind. Caught 2 stripers 26 and 27 inches and a 17 inch small mouth. Got several other strikes, I guess I was to quick picking the rods up while using circle hooks.

I wouldn't so much blame yourself on missing fish this time of year. Those White Perch do a number on baits in the fall, year around actually but more so in the fall. Probably half your strikes will come from those nasty little btards. Sounds like a nice outing, especially since you caught two of the 8 fish on "the Darkside", according to that crazy guy in the Cowboy hat.  |

Dang John, I don't always wear a cowboy hat, but when I do..... I sure am having fun. Btw, that horse farm in Vegas ain't no horse farm like Im used to.
