Well im thinking its time to buy another boat. I had a Carolina skiff dlx 19 foot for about 5 years and loved it, i am now runnin a 20 foot pontoon. I looked at a 20 foot lowe bay aluminum center console with a 150 four stroke and loved the feel and the looks. My question is can anyone give me input on the pros and cons and an aluminum boat versus fiber glass? Id like to hear any inputs before i make my decision thanks

For what style of fishing? Live bait? Artificial - and what species?
If live bait, then the carpet on most aluminum boats would be an issue for me. It's hard enough keeping my fiberglass bay boat clean. Now - I'd its got a textured / painted surface or none, then maybe not an issue.

And sytle of fishing is live bait,plus the occasional bass fishing. Its got plenty of room for my sbt 11.ive just never had an aluminum boat before but fully rigged its about 10k cheaper then same size fully riged fiberglass boat. |
