Water color improves greatly from around Indian down..... debris was also not an issue from that area down - though I'd still use caution at night as some of what's up the lake is eventually going to move down.

the upper lake is really bad right now. Be very careful, the pics mward posted are a good representation but they don't tell the whole story. I went out the other day to look around and hit several objects I never saw. Thankfully I was not moving fast (idle speed) and didn't tear up anything.
I would not recommend being out on the water right now in the dark on the upper part of the lake, just too much big stuff out there.

Was at the marina today getting some work done and heard one of the Guides went up the Roanoke arm and really damaged his motor. Best to stay out of the upper reaches for a while.
