An added bonus twist..... Team of the Year!

We can't roll out all the details on this at the moment, but we've had a new sponsor join us to sweeten things for the overall series of events. We are going to be adding a really nice prize for an overall series winner - one that is pretty awesome.

We'll be keeping an overall "points ranking" for the events to determine a "Team of the Year" winner that would be presented at the conclusion of the April event - and the team that secures this honor will take home this cool prize.

Now, we know there are a lot of things that compete for our time on the water - and it may be hard for folks to participate in all 4 events - so we'll determine the winner based on the best three scores.


More to come on the specifics of the point structure, as well as of course details on the prize........ you might want to re-check your calendars..... just sayin'

More details on the "Team of the Year"

- All teams participating are eligible for the "Team of the Year" - no additional cost beyond their entry fees to each event they participate in.
- A Team must have a common "Captain" & Team Name throughout the events - but others on the team can be substituted for or be absent
- Points awarded for 1st through 20th place at each of the four events. 1000 pts to 1st, 950 pts to 2nd, 900 pts to 3rd, 850 pts to 4th, 800 pts to 3rd and so on down to 50 pts for 20th.
- Team of the Year winner will be the team with the highest combined points from their best 3 events (basically you can drop one score/event). Tie-breaker, if needed, would be the sum of inches for fish measured in the three events which points are derived.
- TEAM MUST FISH THE APRIL EVENT & BE PRESENT AT THE POST-TOURNEY CHECK-INS & AWARDS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR TEAM OF THE YEAR

"Team of the Year" will receive a special, very nice prize worth almost $700 - and most importantly the bragging rights..... hopefully we'll be able to unveil the details of that prize this coming weekend - but no later than at the Nov 7th event.
