Had one of my best day time trips on the lake today they were really liking a square bill crank in shallow water off a point got 7 in the yak best one was 21 in he decided to get very aggressive during his almost photo shoot so lost him on my monthly tourney due to we CPR ,but did manage to have 3 going 47 inches .and with how dirty the water was 8in clarity didn't think I would get a bite but I believe they have moved up caught all in 1-3 ft of water

Thx mward it happens we are not allowed to have fish grips etc in mouth and it has to be closed ,however I do believe a short piece of braid with a small hook is gonna be my way even if I get deducted a 1/4 in is way better than losing a good fish

Thanks for the report, about time they start chewing ... Just wondering what part of the lake with the clarity at 8" ?
