New SW for the HDS Touch & HDS Gen2
HDS Gen2 Touch and Gen2 Series Version 3.0 Software:
Enhanced Charting and Navigational Features
With the new Version 3.0 software for the HDS Gen2 Touch and Gen2 series, users can enjoy improved charting menus and enhancements for use with Jeppesen C-MAP MAX-N+ cartography.
HDS 3.0 software is now available to download for free from the Support section of the Lowrance website.
New Charting Features:
- Chart Selection Menu Update – new selection menu lists available for Navionics,
Lowrance, C-MAP MAX-N+ and other 3rd
- C-MAP MAX-N+ Split Screen – simultaneously display imbedded Insight cartography and C-MAP cartography in split-screen, dual-chart view.
- Dynamic Tides and Currents for Jeppesen with expanded currents menu – - MAX-N+ charts now display a graphical representation of current conditions when the chart is zoomed in beyond the 1NM scale. Standard current icons have been replaced by color-coded arrows indicating the direction and speed of the current; selecting an arrow will open the modified currents page for expanded Ebb and Flood.
HDS 3.0 Software also adds new demonstration and simulator features for the retail environment.
New Demo/Simulator Features:
Downloading and installing the new demo/simulator is optional, when downloading the 3.0 HDS feature software.
- Updated Slide Show – Demo mode includes an updated slide show highlighting the latest features and functionality of the HDS Gen2 Touch and Gen2 series
- User Setting Storage – HDS will now store user settings that are made before demo vmode is activated and revert to them while in demo mode.

Can you give me the exact web address to down load. I can't find the HDS Gen2 Touch 3.0 software on Lowrance for May 2,2014. I looked on lowrance sight for this down load but I could not fid it. I appreciate it a lot thanks.

Fyi, 4.5 is out (for the Gen 2 touch at least)
4.0 was a big upgrade which makes the Gen2 GUI just like the Gen3. I like it as a lot of functions are easier to find now on a menu accessed by pushing the power button.
