Went to the Neuse River and fished four days Sept 2-5. We got some calm days and were able to fish with popping corks versus soaking cut bait. first time using the corks to fish for large drum and it was a blast. We caught 20 fish with all averaging around 40lbs except one at 26". We invited the small one home for dinner. the rest, we released as they are too big to keep.

Sweet report Don !! I am jealous , I have caught some big black drum but not any big reds. I gotta get on that!

Nice work! We go down there every year. Had a decent trip this year, but not as good as some in the past.
