the Pfleguer President in the 6940 is the best value in a spinning reel out there use mine for everything got three of them on 7ft mh team diawa rods I love those reels also got 3 of the daiwa whisker 1600 and 2 1300 reel cant wear them thing out great reels

The teramar rods are tough as ugly sticks but way more sensitive. I have yet to break one in 10 years of crazy Yam fishing! You haven't fished with Mward or Archenemy then - last time I fished with them they just about broke every non Ugly Stik rod in the boat, Teramar included! |

You haven't fished with Mward or Archenemy then - last time I fished with them they just about broke every non Ugly Stik rod in the boat, Teramar included! They aren't made to pull out tree stumps!   I have only broken one rod in my time and it was a Fenwick trolling rod. It broke at the tip probably because it looked like the eyelet had been crimped on instead of being glued. I should have just replaced the eyelet. Sent it back in an aluminum case and they wanted $26 plus shipping for a replacement rod that wasn't equal to the original plus they kept my aluminum case.  |

Broke a ugly stik few weeks back. It still had the tag on it. Drove over it with my truck. Can you say Dumb A@@

I have only broken one rod in my time and it was a Fenwick trolling rod. It broke at the tip probably because it looked like the eyelet had been crimped on instead of being glued. I should have just replaced the eyelet.
