In need of a new livewell pump, since I will probably never be able to afford a bait tank. Suggestions? I believe it is 500 gpm pump currently. I think the system could use more gpm. The pump is located a the rear of the pontoon tube (submersed) and enters the first livewell about 5 lft. away. The supply line Ts off somewhere in that first 5 lft. and goes to the second livewell about 16 lft. away. Ideas? I was thinking a Rule pump, other brands? Thanks for your help, Mike

I run a Rule 500 gph in my SBT-II. All pumps have to be replaced if used long enough. Think I put my 3rd in this Spring since 2010.
However - a pump that is bringing in surface water will only work for you from maybe Oct - Early May. Pumping in 80+ degree water on your alewifes will kill them. Rig a recirculating pump and some type of filter on your existing live well and fill it with cold water. There are some good ideas on here for a do-it-yourself filter
