All the boat trailers I have owned in the past have had buddy bearings. This is my first experience with oil bath hubs. No owners manual came with the trailer. So I was wondering if anyone that has them could tell me how often the oil should be changed..... yearly? I appreciate any input.

Obviously something new, never heard of them. I'd do an internet search, guarantee you there's a Utube video on who, what, when, where and how on them.

Most of my friends in FL use them on their airboat trailers. They have been around for several years. They claim that you can go 35-40k miles with them.

I had them on my previous trailer. Just keep checking the oil level before you roll. They claim to run much cooler at high speeds. I did run mine at 75/80 and had no issues. They have been around for at least 16 years.

Thanks gents for the information. Looked on some you-tube videos that Striperjohn suggested. Also found the company online with a printable service manual. They look very simple to service. Think I will change the gear oil in them once a year unless they look milky.

They came on my 06 Champion boat. I changed the oil with Lucas Hub oil once a year until last year when one the seals started leaking, not a bad leak, just a seep but I changed the bearings and seals. The same seal seeped again. Found out the axle shaft had a tiny grove that could have been repaired with a sleeve but I changed over to grease and bearing buddies. No problems though for several years with the oil bath. I think I would try to remember to look at the oil level before I left home and again when I left the lake. wouldn't hurt to put a little hub oil in a tube that you could squeeze in if you see it low. I used to carry a grease fitting that would screw into the fill hole in case a seal would fail. And a small grease gun!
