How long is it before the striper start heading back up the lake above the bridge? I'm ready for some fall and winter fishing where ya don't half to deal with all the boat traffic

There are always fish above the bridge, just not in the huge numbers you'll start to see in the fall. Plus when they're up river it's much easier to locate them than in the huge open water below the bridge. I agree with Bentrod mid-October is about the average time they should be in large schools up there, but if the lake stays as cool as it has been (compared to past years) you might see them as early as mid-September. But we have most of July and the dog days of August coming so just watch the water temps. When the reports start talking about upper 70's, then mid 70's-it can get real good about then.

Thanks guys I was just wondering never fished it in the fall gonna give it a try this year thou. After all the craziness gets off the water.

Heck - it just changes from pleasure boating craziness to striper-fishing crazyness... you'll know what I mean when you roll up around the tressles in mid-October.......
