6/4/15 evening report

I was hoping for a better trip, but it is what it is. I almost turned around when I saw most of the cows laying down on my way to the lake. It was cloudy and drizzling to start then ending with rain.  Air temp. in the low 60's water temp. 76. Trolled assorted artificial lures. It took me three hours to catch the first fish. The stripers didn't seem to be very active for me. Not many spaghetti marks on the electronics.  Ended up with three total, Two stripers at 26 inches and one large mouth bass at 19 inches and shaped like a football. Striperjohn I didn't see any breaking fish the places I went. Most of the fish I marked were 15 to 25 foot and in small groups or singles.

I love fishing in that type of weather. Stripers live it. You had some luck. We were skunked our last time out. Fish are moving fast right now hard to get on them.

Better than a sharp stick in the eye!! I will be out tomorrow and, fish or not, I will be enjoying myself. Therapy for the soul. You didn't pass my cattle, for sure. They were in fight mode yesterday. Wish they'd have been on the ground too. Nice report!!

Guys you are right. I didn't mean to sound like I didn't enjoy myself. Any time on the water is great. And few other boats out was even better. Only a bass tournament starting at seven pm stirred the water much. Those boys came by me rolling. I was surprised that one boats prop wash reached the underside of the bridge. WOW !  Gator I expect a lot of your animals were raised for that fighting attitude.
