I had just the morning to fish. I decided to head back to my honey hole when a voice in my head said, "You already know fish are there...go somewhere different!"
I wrestled with that voice for a bit and decided to listen. I then got on my map and looked for some sexy stuff that would, at the very least, make for some interesting underwater pictures.
Well it turned out to be a good choice!
The striper action started out consistent on big shad! I caught 3 nice 8 pounders with little boat fuss and craziness. I almost felt like a pro. Cool Hand Luke.
The bass were also eating well such as this hearty 6 pound behemoth! I had to let him go...too pretty to eat!
And then it happened. I ran on up into one of them sought after schools. I had no clue what was underneath, but the camera don't lie. There were 100s of fish all seeming to be fixated on my bait!
You should see the video! Made my heart pitter-patter and jump. They just line up and peck away falling back into the ranks until finally they gang up and circle their prey.
And someone comes in for the kill!
Meanwhile...topside, the "PRO" was quickly being reverted back to that excitable crazy kid once again...all running around the boat with a giddy smile and many a tangles and confusion about to erupt.
Here I am bringing in one fish when all of a sudden, another board (WITH WATER WOLF CAMERA) goes off.
Well... I was always taught to get the current one in your fighting before going to the next. But the camera rod takes priority.
Unfortunately, the camera fish was off before I even put down the first fish (that is what the gopro tells me). So I rushed back to my screaming rod..
And I eventually lost that one too! And I wouldn't change a thang!
Once the dust settled, I lost more than I caught in that school...but it was a great time!
