Well I woke to skies that were clouded around 5 felt humid in the air around 5:30 a shower fell, but not before I got I toss of the net. It was plenty to go fish with. AT & WT was about the same Sat. So I decided not to got to deep water and gave the cove below me a shot. Set out two planers and two floats. First fish here we go again, another cat. Next three turned out to be stripes though. With the 5th being another cat. Okay now for the laugh! 3rd stripe on a planer towards the front of the boat. And of course the fish went to the back. So while working the rod around the others and around the bimni to the back corner I got to the back corner and he shook his head pulling the rod out of my hand s and into the lake. All I see is my planer headed to the center of the lake. I reel everything else in and the chase is on. The planer finally stops. I net it and begin to hand line the rod to the boat, it's still there. I begin to reel what was below the planer and the fish was still there and he got boated to be released. All this happened in about less than 10 mins. So you can imagine the scramble I was in. Definitely happy to have the rod back and the bonus of a fish too after all that. The cats were caught on the floats and the stripes on the planers all with small ales.

Kind of reminded me of the scene from Jaws when the shark takes the barrels under the water and they pop back minutes later.
