Trolled artificial lures from 9:00 am until 1:00pm. Foggy for a while. Turned out to be beautiful and sunny. Water temp. was around 69. We came around a point off the main channel to see some good top water action. I made the turn into the cove after they went down and picked up a double, we got both in. Those fish came up 3 more times until they scattered. We kept doing large circles for a total of 5 stripers in the boat and three others that came off. All were in the 24-27 inch range and chunky.

Well done. Looked like a nice weekend for some fishing. How deep where you trolling and what speed, if you don't mind sharing. Gator

Gator, my speed was around 1.2 to 1.4 mph. And most of the time I keep above the 20 ft. tree tops. If there are no trees at my location and I see some fish deeper. I'll adjust the depth to the fish. Sometimes you need ten hands to get all the lines down.

Thanks!! I enjoy dragging u-rigs and an occasional deep diving Bomber. Can be a heck of a lot of fun or one helluva nightmare when they get snagged.

I have been catching good fish in the trees. Not marking hardly anything but fish are there.

Striperjohn you are sure right. Those fish are good at hiding in the trees. I'm glad you have had luck sweet talking some out to play.
