Anybody else still turkey hunting. Have not been hunting much last couple weeks. Been chasing stripers. Went this morning heard 7 gobbling good but none would come in. Killed 2 the first week 21.5 lb and 19lb 13 oz. Called in several more but didn"t want to use that last tag.

I have some on my property in Loudoun County. This is the first time any have shown up on my game camera's this year. I assumed the bad winter had taken the toll on them. I don't mow the whole field so they will have grass seeds and insects to feed on. Also there are several Dunstan American chestnut trees that they hang around waiting for the wind to knock them out of the hull. They have a little competition with the deer as well and some times the deer will charge them.
