With the lake being so low I'm unable to keep my boat at my dock so I've been leaving it in my parents garage. They live near the state park so I've been able to revisit my roots a little more lately and fish the lower end of the lake. Got my girl in da boat and headed out yesterday evening and headed to my ole stomping grounds. I'm not really sure what got into em but the smallies were on fire and the best part about it it was all on top. I really don't know how many we caught, but it was in the 14-18 range for sure, which might not sound like a lot, but it all happened in about 2 hours. They weren't schooling persay, but there was the occasional bust and if you got ur bait in the swirl you didn't even have to move it. A few were dinks, but some of em were in the 2-3 lb class, with my girl losing a 3.5-4 lber right at the boat. I had forgotten how much fun it was to chase these brown fish. Anyway, managed some larrys too in another spot closer to parkway and headed in for the night. Great evening of fishing!!

That sounds awesome VT. I had similar results in Walton's yesterday evening! Most were on top. You weren't in the silver ranger down from me we you?
