I am staying at the lake the next couple weeks and have my boat off the trailer. I want to get new wheel bearings put in. Does anyone know a good place near the lake to get this done? I am staying near the state park.

Dang,,, find a Northern Tool (Lynchburg or Roanoke) and do them yourself. New hub and bearings arent bad at all.

Hey Slammer if you're like me some things doing by yourself and just too big of a pain to mess with. I think any automotive garage can replace those wheel bearings for you. I'd also get the seals replaced while you're at it. I think the last time I had it done it I brought the bearings, race and seals in and the guy charged me 50 bucks for both wheels.

You can buy the whole dang hub with bearings preinstalled for not a lot more. If convinence is the factor go that route. pull the tire, pull the old, and slap the new hub on and be done with it. Keep the old hub and rebuild it later when you have time and keep it in the truck for roadside repair.
