Traveled that entire span yesterday. WT was from 58 to 62 in the channel. The water was definitely murky but there was little to no debris in the lake. Or better yet, I hit little to no debris in the lake. All creeks were mud balls in the back but were much cooler than last week toppings off at 63. Last week I saw 70.

Just cruised Craddocks the best I could wind permitting. Water temps 58-59 with not much going on. Top 25 foot of water showed up as a big mess on my downscan..must be the wind churning things up. What I did see was slightly below that depth. in the main channel.

I'd keep a close eye on that big mess.

It's slime time...... now before Bigun jumps in I'm referring to the pollen and the slim gobs that get on your lines from it in the water.... but then again the spawn is starting, so...........

I don't know what you are talking about..... but if I did have an inkling, I'm trying to be good so Yam and Bentrod won't be mad at me anymore. .... I assume you are talking about the tiger sauce that gets all over ya and the boat from all those worked up male fish before you can release them.

I had some of that damn pollen slide in a wet glob to my line guide worm gear and froze it up last year when it dried. Had to use a dental pick to get it out.

Just saw some crazy pictures on the Friends of Claytor Lake facebook page. Massive amounts of debris/trash spanning the entire width of peak creek and chocolate milk water everywhere. Just wondering how bad smith has gotten after these recent heavy rains? Will be down tm..

Just wondering how bad smith has gotten after these recent heavy rains? Will be down tm.. I drove from State Park to Hardy yesterday. The water got horrible by Linville. Smelled like decay. The debris was pretty bad but I have seen worse in the last year. Never smelled like this though. I definitely wouldn't navigate by night above Indian until verifying conditions in the day.
