Put in just below Hales Ford Bridge and went into back of some main lake pockets and old Water Wheel area. Saw lots of bait fish but couldn't get bit. Made a run up Roanoke side which was tough in the wind. Proved to be a good move, found 55 degree water temps and some willing participants. Ended up catching 4 largemouth with the biggest going about 4lbs on shakey head around docks. Got back to take out and there was a tournament that had just finished. Not only did I have to wait for almost 30 minutes to take out but one guy cut in front of me when I went to get my vehicle to load boat. I understand that my Bass Tracker didn't cost $30,000, don't have side imaging, and can only go about 35 mph at top speed. Who ever this club or group was were not only slow but inconsiderate of others loading or unloading. Get over yourselves, if you guys were that good you would be catching fish for a living! Maybe next time consider another ramp or at least speed up the process of weighing in and getting your boats out of the way.
Best of luck to everyone, be safe on the water!

Ran into this a couple weeks back. Guy cut in front of me loading in. Had to laugh though as he left his lights on along with his trailer being such a hurry. What goes round....

Our club had a tournament out of the public ramp behind Waterwheel on Saturday, we fished from 6:30am till 3:30pm. I hope it was not us that you are referring to, I did not see anyone waiting when I got back. If so, I'm sorry for any inconsiderate actions that may have taken place. We all try to help each other get loaded and out of the way whenever possible. By the way, nice catch on a very tough and windy day.

No sir, this was at a different location not very far from your club. Thank you for asking, I aapreciate it. We just all need to be aware that it is not our private lake and respect each other's space and privileges. Obviously, you and your club do a great job of this. I can't say the same for the bunch of nincompoops who were using a public ramp that day!
Be Safe and Best of Luck!
