While junkee was catching citations, I was on a mission to film gizzard being slaughtered by stripers. Unfortunately I was side tracked by jumping fish for 3 miles. I couldn't resist but my spoon was not working for me. However, my spook did the job... Walk Dat dog!
Ahhhh top water in the morning. The surface action lasted for miles but was scattered so it wasn't as easy as it can be when they blitz in concentrated schools.
So finally I passed through the fleet with pride and found my spot all alone. And after hooking up the camera for the first time, my mongo saw action. And guess what...my camera tells me that there are many stripers that mess with your bait! No questions now! And then it happened... Hook up!
Unfortunately I forgot my computer cord but I did see some of it and it looks pretty good. The mongo didn't care one bit about the camera nor did the stripers. The water was still a bit murky and I plan to shorten the leash because the mongo was out of the picture quite a bit as he danced around. I also plan to go south and find some cleaner water.
Guys... You are going to really like what is coming. Stand by....
Oh yeah.. Bait was harder but doable and fishing is so good right now.. I really am not interested in catching fish unless they hit my water wolf mongo!
