Another great day at Smith mountain --- Loaded the tank with 25 Gizz -- 8 to 13 inches -- and the usual dozen Ales - Finished bait early this morning and was fishing by 645am. Headed to the same creek system as yesterday and had the similar experience -- 4 fish -- all released -- biggest 12lbs
Moved to 2 other creeks that I have never fished before and tallied a skunk.
11am moved to another favorite spot and fish gods smiled on the JUNKEEEE!!! it was a double header and it was my turn up to the plate -- planer went off I am on it, Rod out of the holder and before I could even start reeling the shore planer board exploded like someone dropped a refrigerator in the water -- All I said is that is going to be a monster. Little did I know that I had a hold of the MONSTER!!!!!! 5 minutes later and equipment all over the boat -- we had a 33 inch 14 lber and coming in just under 38 inches 22 lber.
after that met up with Yammy for lunch and discussed the BIG FISH!!!! -- deep fried some fresh striper and fries at the Halesford Harbour INN ---
3pm headed out to top off the bait tank with 15 more baits --- Hit 3 more areas and caught 4 more ------ biggest being 13lbs --- all released
Looking forward to one more morning on the water --- Thank you Smith Mountain --
