Arrived 3am with a first time Smith Mountain striper fanatic -- Bait was no problem - 8 inch to 13 inch Gizz -- with a dozen 6 inch Ales mixed in.
started fishing around 7am -- headed back into creek -- caught 4 - 2 for the fryer -- changed creeks and caught a few more -- biggest being 13lbs
Wind picked up and tried a few places and just could not find any rhythm again..
Wind was still hollowing around 530 --- we headed to a spot we thought might work -- and boy did it -- caught 5 and went through all 20 baits in the tank -- a few line malfunctions with a couple bad knots and many stolen baits -- was a great way to finish the day.
