Does anyone know where the bait is on the black water? Standiford is barren and all the bait in Gills is 25 feet down. I'm throwing an 8 foot net so 25 feet is a little out of my reach. Any help is greatly appreciated. Cheers!

So it turned out I need to throw about 65 times before I was finally able to get some shad. It was an exhausting process but was worth it in the end. 4/1-fished 3 bank side planers, 2 floats in the back, and 1 planer on the other side. All were free lines with large gizzards and 1 moneymaker. Had about 5 blow ups that we missed or didn't set the hook in time. Ended up bringing 2 to the boat. Both were a little over 30 inches and caught on the shoreline planer. . We rigged up some stingers to use today. I hope that improves our numbers. Cheers!

vthokieluke - those 65 throws are what makes the fish rewarding..... there are a few brief windows of time when big bait is easy - the rest of the time you have to really want it......
Nice catch!
