I , as well as many others , lost a great friend this past week. Mark Nichols ,49, of lynchburg va went to the big pond in the sky on 3/19/15. I will truly miss him and will forever cherish the friendship we had and all the great memories and fishing trips we had together. I know The Lord has a sweet fishing hole in heaven for you buddy. May you rest in peace my friend. [/URL]

SeeJay I'm so glad we got him out there that beautiful day in January. My heart has been heavy these past few days and I'm really gonna miss Mark. He was a fine man and loved to fish!

SeaJay, Sue Reel,
I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. Many of life's finest joys come from time shared in the field and on the water with friends. It's hard to find good ones, and forty-nine is way too young to lose one. My condolences.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Way to young to leave this world. It's times like these that make me realize how petty some of the fussing I do on here is. Only the good Lord knows how long we have on this earth. We may not get another chance to tell our friends and family how we truly feel. Though I haven't met a lot of you guys, I consider everyone of you a friend and am not ashamed to say..... love you guys.
Prayers to the family and friends in this sad time......

My condolences to you and your friends family. Life is way to short. Tim Mcgraw sang a great song a few years back "Live like you are dying". God bless and ditto on biguns comments.

Words are never adequate in times like this. Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts during these difficult times.
One of my favorite quotes:
“Memory nourishes the heart, and grief abates.” Marcel Proust

Thank you for the kind words, thoughts,& prayers. This has hit everyone that knew him very hard. Yesterday I was stripping all the old line off my 12 bait rods and replacing with new line and rigging. The last time I did that he came by and helped me . One thing I can't stress enough is be sure you tell all your family and friends how much you love them and how much their friendship means to you,As often as you can. You never know when it may be the last time you have that chance.
