TVA announced today that the draw down on water levels at Boone will continue for at least the next year. This is in reaction to their working to solve a water seepage issue that is occuring around the damn / embankment. Definitely not good for home owners who's boats are hanging high and dry in the air - nor local businesses.... and my understanding is there is not a paved ramp access that is accessible at this point either. www.tva.com/boonedrawdown/

Like a wet weather spring. Water seeps into the ground and follows the crusty layer to lower elevations.
You would have thought that the lake people would have been warned and taken their boats out.

If I remember right it was discovered over the winter when the lake was in winter draw-down.
