Good Afternoon, Last year was my first year fishing SML and i would say i did fair at best. I sold my boat after college and was used to fishing the New and really enjoyed the instant gratification of catching 60 fish on one bait and using that bait all day every day to repeat the trend. I began working with a guy who really enjoys SML and decided to start going with him on his weekend outings and it was dismal! I dont think we caught a fish the first seven weekends we went out. Slowly but surely it warmed up and we began catching a few here and a few there. Ive only really ever been out with my former coworker and am curious about how others do so well or if everyone has a tough time catching numbers out there. I would really like to meet some new fisherman and maybe see if they could teach me a thing or two about the lake and fishing in general. Last year was an all around humbling experience and hope to have better luck in 2015, Thank you.

Welcome to the forum, SML can be good or bad, I would say go back and read over the old posts, there is a wealth of information on them, there are a lot of how to do's and not to do's well worth the time ot go through them, If possible hire one of the guides, ask on here for names, they will teach you how to fish the lake, and then just get out there and use the information you get and ask questions.

60 fish a day on one bait? What were you fishing for? Lake fishing is most def different then the river however sml is basically 2 dammed rivers. Some patterns can be similar. Sml can be tough and only worsens when it really warms up. There are plenty of fish to be caught.
