Does anyone know of a good boat repair in the area that does transoms, fiberglass ect. Unfortunately my needs a transom:-[ . Reasonable rates is nice, but good quality work better.

Apparently no one has any ideas for you in the marine world. I would try an auto body shop that works on Corvettes. They have some of the best fiberglass guys in the business.

I think Duwane at Captain's Quarters can recommend someone too. He gave me a name last year for some potential work, but I haven't gotten to it yet. Too much other stuff to buy.

I heard that C&L marine in moneta does fiberglass repair . I have never dealt with them personally though. May try calling all the local marinas and ask if they do fiberglass repair and if not they may have someone they use for that kind of work.

Transoms are tough. I pass this place on Rte 40 between Redwood and Glade Hill all the time. May be worth a shot. I know they do good auto work. www.tntautobody.net/tntmarine.php

Swanson at C&L is a very good mechanic & is very knowledgable about boats. He can probably fix your transom but if not he will point you to someone who can. He also works with you on payment if you can't afford the full amount. 297-6808
