Hey all -
I'll be upgrading my TM this year (with any luck). I bought this motor last year and, unfortunately, under bought. I was hoping to be able to stay w/ a 12V set up, and the 55lb thrust is fine on the lake, but doesn't handle the hard currents I need it to down in Florida.
Anyway, I'll be looking to upgrade it in the next couple months to an 80# thrust IPilot w/ the 54 or 60" shaft (can't remember which). SOOOO if you are either thinking about buying a 55lb thrust MinnKota or Selling an 80lb thrust w/ Ipilot, let's talk. Here are the specs:
Will be selling:
55 LB thrust MinnKota Riptide SP
Co-pilot (not Ipilot) - that means you have the small remote with on, off, turn, and speed up/slow down.
42" shaft
it is one year old, in beautiful shape, always rinsed when it was in saltwater this summer, but spent 99% of its time in freshwater. It is on a quick release bracket, but I'll be keeping that for my new motor.
In the market for either a good deal new or a great condition used:
Minn Kota Riptide IPilot (Must be a rip tide - it will be used in salt)
80lb thrust
54 or 60" shaft, preferably 60".
Gotta have Ipilot
they are running a promo till July, so a new one is about $1400 bucks. Looking to come in well under that if at all possible!
