Wanted to know if there were any public boat ramps up the Blackwater side of the lake. I normally put in up by Hales Ford Bridge but want to fish the Blackwater side a little more this spring. Looking to avoid having to run as far in my Tracker, only 50hp. Any info. is greatly appreciated!!!

The Scruggs ramp is currently closed for renovation until further notice.

Penhook will put you into Little Bull and Bull Run.

There are pay ramps as well. Magnum is 5 bucks per use.

I think that there is also a pay ramp at the Gills Creek Marina. Not sure though.

Last time I filled up (late December) they were almost dry. I know last year they let everything run dry until around April. Thanks.

I heard they were going to redo the ramp and dock, both long overdue.
