Just wanted to consolidate some info on the M&G from various threads and posts into one place....  It's official - we're got our location locked down and BRB is confirmed to play... Facebook "Event" - invite yourself... - www.facebook.com/events/412968635528521/?ref_dashboard_filter=upcomingwww.oleschoolsportspub.com/find-us.htmlCool place with a relaxed atmosphere and a good variety of beers on tap and good food - also have some pool tables if anyone wants to get a friendly wager going. BRB will be playing from 5-8 or 8:30ish - and then Ole School has another band coming on if you want to hang around. It would be cool to get a group picture like in the past, so let's try and target doing that around 6ish. As always, you are totally responsible for your own actions, and most importantly your own bar tabs - and SML Fishing Forums and its admins/moderators assume no responsibility for you or your actions  , but we hope as many of you that can will come out - it's always nice to meet others from the forum and put a face to the name. Don't be scared off by the lore of M&G's of the past - those stories seem to grow much larger than they really ever were as each year passes For those that are interested in staying for the weekend.... we'll let you guys coordinate it, the Westlake Waterfront Inn, the "official" hotel of the Meet & Greet for many years now, is running in a limited operation this time of year - ArchEnemy stayed there last weekend so hopefully there won't be any issues staying there in a few weeks.... |

It was great seeing some old faces and meeting a new one or two. Calmest meet n greet in the history of meet n greets, I apologize for that and will make up for it next year. The Pub was awesome, food was fantastic and beer was cold! |

Thanks to all who came out! It was great to see some old friends and meet some new members as well - think I missed a few of you guys also, but thanks for coming out! And big thanks to BRB for providing free music for the third year in a row!! I would post pictures, but I literally forgot to get pictures. I only have one picture of Mward and his twin brother and another of BRB! If anyone else has pictures, post em up!   |

That's scary. MWard and ValleyThunder could be brothers. Great time, good food, cold beer and great music. Nice to meet Yam & rossnetman for first time and visit with some I had met before. See you on the water.

Was good to get to meet a bunch of you guys - ValleyThunder (and Don? Sorry - terrible with names 1st time or so around), FishBytes, RossNetman & Ross (nice work on the harmonica there Ross! We're gonna put you on stage next year with BRB!)
198vx, BigJon & StripedYam - good to catch up with you guys.
I may be missing someone here - and if you were there and I didn't get a chance to speak with you - my apologies - hard to know was there for the M&G, there to hear BRB, or just hanging out.
Hate SuperStriper got called back to NC to get a customers refridgeration unit going again, but duty calls. Missed a number of others - y'all missed a good time of talking fishing , some good food & beer and listening to some great tunes from BRB.
Well do it again next year and keep the tradition going. If there is enough interest in a mid-year M&G maybe we can figure out how to put something together.

It was nice meeting everyone who came. It was good to take a break, drink a beer, listen to some awesome music, chat with folks who share my same passions and know more than me, meet Bentrod's gorgeous wife to be, feel CorneliaGale's wisdom and most importantly, watch Mward be one of the kindest and nicest guys I know. Additionally, if I were a little younger and had a safe ride home, I would have loved to pound some beers with the yak meister.
I wish I could have seen Big Jon and his crew stirring it up. I also would have loved to meet Shadslinger. After all.. I somehow feel connected to his father and feel many of us are fishing in his light. And of course, Bigun.. Although I am not sure I really want to meet him or even know which covered pontoon is his. There are many other current and past members I would have enjoyed seeing as well such as Lund1, Gator, Brian, John, Arch, piper, greenmonster... Just to name a few. Maybe next year?
Regardless of any future outcomes, it has been a real pleasure taking part in this journey. This board has motivated my passion to learn and share information. I am a better fisherman as a result and a better problem solver all around. Thank you Mward and Bentrod for keeping all of this rolling and for organizing this event in particular. We all become better fishermen when we collaborate and I think Rockfish would be proud.
